Education goal

To learn basic welding and fabrication techiniques or just improve your welding skills.

Description

Class provides instruction based on your current skill level. Fee includes use of equipment, supplies and instructional guidance. Students may work on personal projects but must provide their own materials.

Lisa graduated from the Welding program at Peninsula College and worked as a welder for Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, working on such ships as the Abraham Lincoln. From there she went to Japan and trained professional welders. She has a great understanding of the trade and is a very patient instructor.

Special instructions

Fee includes use of the equipment, supplies and instructional guidance. Students may work on personal projects but must provide their own materials. Students should wear clothing made of natural, not synthetic, materials (denim and cotton good) and should ware closed-toe leather shoes. No tennis shoes or open-toed shoes allowed in the shop. Safety equipment provided. Class size limit 12. Call the school at 360-385-4948, Ext. 300 to enroll.
